Vraag jij je bijvoorbeeld af: ”waar vind ik musical audities in Nederland?”

Ik vertel je graag hoe je deze kunt vinden, net als andere vormen van audities.

Deze heb ik hieronder voor je op een rij gezet:

Via the Internet

Of course you can find a lot on the internet. Just google 'audition theatre' and you will quickly find countless sites. You have to pay close attention to which words you choose.

Good search terms are 'audition' and of course what you want to audition in ('dance', 'singing', 'acting', 'theatre', 'theatre'). Adding a country can also help (internationally it is best to search in English).

Good free sites to look up are:

Another option is paid sites, where you can also upload your resume. The advantage of this is that you can approach employers in a targeted manner.

In the Netherlands, one of the best-known platforms is Audities.nl ( https://audities.nl/ ).

One of the best known paid sites internationally for theater is Stagepool (h ttps://en.stagepool.com/)  On this page you will find just about all jobs related to theater and TV. You can set up your search profile yourself and send your resume and other materials directly to the employer. (see also 'German language auditions' ).

In a Kickstart process I will always find suitable auditions for you.

Via a  agency

At an agency you not only have to register paid, but often also pay mediation costs for your auditions. This can be in the form of a member contribution or per job.

The advantage is that employers often approach an agency directly to find suitable candidates. They then choose from their file and send you specifically to auditions where they think you fit the description.

Are you ready to find your ideal education?

You are  Now you have finished your training and ready to go, go into the work field! But how do you actually find out where an audition is? There are several options for this. I have listed them for you:

This includes not only the people you know but also Social Media, such as Facebook or Instagram. You can find a lot with #hashtags, but also by simply searching for a word.

A few examples:

Also talk regularly with classmates or other people - who you know from the profession - about auditions and your own process. It is not only a relief that you can share with other 'fellow sufferers' how you are doing, but you may also learn new things.

And don't forget to spar with your fellow auditors during an audition.

Don't be shy! Everyone in the theater business often has to audition and probably has the same things as you. †

Through an agent

Hiring an agent may sound very Hollywood, but especially if you find it difficult to communicate with future employers, it can be the solution for you.

Agents often have connections in, and information about, the professional field that you cannot easily get to in private. They often receive auditions directly from a theater or company and then make a choice from their file who fits the role description.

The 'disadvantage' of this is that you pay a percentage of your salary to the agent. However, if it is a good agent, he will take it into account when negotiating with your future employer, so that you will not notice it financially.

In my own career I have never needed an agent and arranged everything myself. But like I said, it's very personal. I was still able to get to know agents through other means, to which I would of course be happy to mediate you.
